Make-A-Wish Illinois is pleased to announce that beloved entertainer Steve Martin will be the featured celebrity at Wish Ball on Saturday evening May 16, 2020 at Navy Pier. One of the most well-known talents in entertainment, Martin has earned an Academy Award®, five Grammy® awards, an Emmy®, the Mark Twain Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors.

For children with critical illnesses, the journey to hope and strength begins with a life-changing wish experience. In addition to entertainment by Steve Martin, nearly 1,000 guests will share in moments conveying the spark of hope that ignites the way for wish families and hear first-hand how wishes change lives.
Tickets are $675 per person or $6,750 per table of ten. Premium tables can be reserved for $13,500. Tickets are available online at or by calling 312.602.WISH (9474).

Wish Ball is an elegant evening bursting with touching moments including meeting Wish Ambassadors, who are wish children who can speak to their life-changing wish experiences. Presented by GATX Corporation, this magnificent night generates revenue to support the Make-A-Wish mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The event includes cocktails, dinner, dancing, a raffle, and spirited live and silent auctions in addition to celebrity entertainment. A celebrated comedian, actor, musician, author and playwright, Steve Martin began his career on “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour” (1967-1969). His successes continued through his work on television with "Saturday Night Live", "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" and then countless popular films. An accomplished musician, his banjo performances and compositions are award winning. Steve Martin’s talent also extends to writing both novels and plays, all of which have garnered critical acclaim. He is currently touring with fellow comedian and musician and longtime friend Martin Short, who appeared at the Make-A-Wish Illinois Wish Ball in 2013.
