A heart condition slowed her down, but this teen found her groove again and celebrated a traditional fifteenth birthday party thanks to Make-A-Wish.
Fifteen-year-old Jenny is a shy, very stylish teenager from Stone Park. She enjoys singing in her church choir and participating in yearbook class and Spanish club.
Diagnosed at birth with Tetrology of Fallot, Jenny has endured countless doctor visits and has undergone 3 major heart surgeries. Despite her condition, Jenny is determined to maintain a normal lifestyle. Shortly after her 14th birthday, Jenny was referred to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jenny didn’t have to think twice about what her wish would be. She wanted a traditional Quinceanera to celebrate her 15th birthday, a party to celebrate with her family and friends.
Her wish began the day before her party with a traditional Catholic mass in her honor. The following day, Make-A-Wish provided Jenny with a huge party at Navy Pier. She celebrated her special day in style with two beautiful gowns and a tiara fit for a princess. Jenny’s mother told Make-A-Wish, “Jenny absolutely loved every part of her wish, as a family, we couldn't have asked for more.”
