Through Make-A-Wish, Morgan wished to go on a Disney Cruise. Before setting sail, local wish granting volunteers surprised Morgan and her family with a Bon Voyage party held at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. More than 80 well-wishers gathered to celebrate.
Morgan was thrilled with the guest appearance of area County Fair Queens and her favorite Disney characters, Minnie and Mickey Mouse! “It was a wonderful evening for Morgan and her family and friends,” said Wish Granter, Beth Funneman who organized the event. Other Wish Granters on hand were Marla Galloway and Renee Green.
To make her wish come true, Morgan and her family flew to Orlando to depart on a Disney Cruise. She met and took pictures with her adored Disney characters. According to her mom, “she especially enjoyed meeting Tinker Bell.” Morgan also attended the nightly musical live shows. She was able to see All Aboard: Let the Magic Begin, The Golden Mickeys, and, her personal favorite, Disney’s Believe.
As Morgan and her family cruised by two different islands, Morgan had the opportunity to play and swim with the dolphins, a highlight of the whole trip. The Mickey Mouse pool, which was discovered while exploring various areas of the ship, became one of Morgan’s frequently visited and preferred spots on board.
Morgan’s mom said, “It was a great experience and we are very thankful to Make-A-Wish.”
Overall, this wish gave Morgan the opportunity to see her dreams come true, and she can embrace the joy of her wish for years to come.
