Season of Wishes

Rally your co-workers, clients, family and friends to grant wishes this season.

Are you looking to add a little magic to your office this holiday season? What better than helping to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses with Make-A-Wish! The holiday season is the perfect time to volunteer, host a fundraiser or add a charitable component to an existing event. You have the power to spread hope, strength and joy, and make wishes come true. Just ask Elijah!

Elijah had a heart transplant. He spent a long time in the hospital waiting for his heart and now that he is feeling better, his wish was to help the kids like him who are spending too much time in the hospital, which can be boring and scary. Make-A-Wish granted Elijah's wish to bring presents to everyone on the cardiac floor at the hospital where he spent so much time. Elijah also hosted a party in the lounge for patients and their families providing a welcome break for them all.

Children like Elijah who wish to give back and empower others with the gift of joy are truly what the holiday season is all about. Helping Make-A-Wish is easy! We’ll help you put together the pieces to make holiday magic happen within your workplace, giving you and your colleagues a fulfilling way to work together to do something truly special. Check out the opportunities below.

Employee Engagement

Party With Purpose
Host a holiday party that will benefit Make-A-Wish. We’ll help you to develop a creative party plan and motivate and inspire your team with stories of resilient wish kids who wished to pay it forward.

Create magic by helping to make a wishes come true for children in your community. As part of this program, your team will be matched with a wish ambassador, and may even be able to connect to your impact by hosting a wish child and their family at your office or holiday event.

Go Casual or Get Competitive
Get your co-workers to go casual this season by wearing denim in exchange for donations to Make-A-Wish. Jazz this campaign up with ugly sweater days or other holiday-themed outfit challenges. Add on to the fun by creating other holiday challenges, like cookie decorating or ginger bread house competitions. We’ll provide you with fundraising materials, a website, and ongoing support to help you reach your goals.

Workplace Giving
Add Make-A-Wish to your workplace giving program this holiday season and help make wishes come true all year round! If your office has a matching gift program, you can even double your impact. Contact Wande Olude for details.

Volunteer Day
Rally your staff to spend a few hours volunteering at the Highwood Pumpkin Festival, Hot Chocolate Run or gift wrapping at the 900 N. Michigan to raise funds benefiting Make-A-Wish.
