Bilingual Wish Granter Training

September 29, 2016

Time :

5:30-8 p.m.

Location :

This training is for bilingual volunteers interested in becoming Wish Granters. Wish granters work with our wish children to help them determine their most heartfelt wish. Wish granters then work with the staff to help make these wishes come true. Bilingual wish granters are especially needed for this coming year.

Time commitment varies, but is approximately 3 hours per month based on granting 3 wishes per year. Wish Granters must have strong communication skills, and be able to respond to wish families and staff within 48 hours. Volunteers are asked to complete 2 online trainings prior to attending the in-person training. Space is limited, contact Dan White at to reserve a spot!

Latest Status Update

  • 4,600 children are diagnosed every year with a brain tumor, and it is a diagnosis that can make days seem pretty grey. When Donovan was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2014, his wish helped to brighten his days again: he wished to be the star of his own movie as a ninja superhero! To commemorate Brain Tumor Awareness Month, grab some popcorn and watch "The Legend of ECHO."
